Sam holds a Master of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England. Prior to starting a legal career, Sam worked in travel and insurance industries for 7 years.
Sam joined Taperell Rutledge’s commercial and property practice in 2018 after 5 years working primarily in commercial law, property transactions, and migration law, at boutique commercial and general practice law firms in Sydney.
In his legal work, Sam takes on a holistic, goal-oriented approach to helping clients. This means taking care to fully understand a client’s relevant circumstances and motivations, and focusing on legal solutions designed to achieve the best practical outcome. Sam is particularly experienced in helping new businesses and non-profit organisations, as well as clients in hospitality and technical industries. He is also multi-lingual (English and Korean) and skilled in communicating with clients of culturally diverse backgrounds.
Sam is also a registered migration agent (MARN 1387591) and assists clients with family and work visas, merits reviews, and applications for ministerial intervention.
Sam is admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales and registered as a legal practitioner with the High Court of Australia.
